We finally have a school for J!!
It's an independent specialist school not that far from us and she starts in September 2020, with hopefully a few transition days before then.
Currently feeling mixed emotions as it has been such a long, bumpy journey in the last year or so. From mainstream school failing her, hitting a serious crisis point which then led onto finally receiving her diagnosis, we are hopeful and optimistic that this school can help J 'bloom' again, not only academically, but socially and mentally too.
It has been a difficult journey to say the least and a lot of people have not made it easy for us, but we have made it through all the obstacles and hurdles put in our way, we have jumped through all the hoops, we have fought hard for what we believe and have settled for nothing less.
It has been emotional, draining, challenging and at times we have, as a family, hit some pretty low points.
But we are a strong little team and have never lost sight of who the fight was for... our beautiful little girl
