ASTROLOGY

I used to be massively into astrology many, many moons ago. I would avidly read my daily horoscope and buy all the relevant books so I could to delve deeper into it all.

Then....it all took a back seat for a while when life took a firm hold. But today I have been looking back through some of my books to read about our star signs again....

Gemini

Gemini fathers (J's dad) may be all grown up on the outside, but they still know how to act like little kids on the inside. These men love to play with their kids. While some parents may tire of cartoons and playing sports or hosting tea parties, the Gemini father loves to do that sort of thing. (This is so accurate!!). Playing with his child entertains him, making him feel like a kid again... yep!!!

Cancer

J is a cancer starsign. Gemini and Cancer can look at the same thing or event and present it in completely different ways. "I’m afraid of the dark," Cancer admits. "Do not be afraid," the Gemini answers judiciously. "In fact, in the dark, everything is exactly like in the light, only it cannot be seen." "But I’m still scared," Cancer whines. Here’s a clash of thoughts and feelings! Gemini always adheres to logic and objectivity, and Cancer is identified with emotions. Yes!! Spot on!!

Taurus

Taurus mum and Cancer child thrive when they feel physically and emotionally secure. They're both orientated towards "home", as reading, playing games or baking cookies is their idea of a good time together. They both like the safety and comfort of familiar surroundings. As a Taurus parent, your bond will always be strong because you share such a deep, natural devotion.

The Little Crab

Reading up about J as a Cancer starsign has proved pretty interesting and accurate! Ruled by the always-changing moon the Cancer baby/child has mood swings as often as the tides change, swinging from ecstatic to angry to despondent to calm and collected, sometimes within moments...errr yes!!!

Cancer is a water sign and is symbolized by the crab, an animal that can live both on land and in the sea. Bath time is often a favourite of Cancerians.... errrr no!. J does however like swimming and being out on the water!

Home and family are extremely important to tiny Crabs, who tend to be extra attached to their parents and especially their mothers (ahhhh). Quiet and shy outside of their family, the Cancer child can have a hard time adjusting to new people and places. Yes, pretty much.

Known as the "mother sign," Cancers are natural caregivers and highly sensitive to others' feelings. Little crabs often take special care of dolls and stuffed animals and dote on family pets. Definitely yes!!

These little ones love to eat. The risk is that they can be emotional eaters, putting things into their mouths when they are upset or anxious. Yes!!!

There is no budging this little one when her mind is made up. Highly intuitive and extremely alert, the Cancer child notices all and remembers everything; it's impossible to sneak anything by them! OMG YES!!

Should discipline be required, choose logic over any harsh punishments or strict rules, which are too rough on this gentle spirit......
