Earlier in the year, pre medication,, when things were really bad and about to hit crisis point, the 'F' word was a frequent firm favourite with J, mostly used in her angry and violent meltdowns. Always in context and pronounced perfectly!
Sometimes this would be lovingly accompanied by the middle finger gesture too.
We always tried to ignore the swearing, and to be honest, trying to keep her safe and dodge flying things were of more importance at the time! Now that J is much calmer, with the meds on board, the swearing has thankfully declined.
Thinking about it, the lying seems to have ceased too. I know lots of kids lie, and let's face it, adults do too, but J would lie about things that were a) blatantly obvious it didn't happen or b) lie about things there was just no reason to lie about. Almost like lying for the sake of it!
